A little bit about me…
My name is Meghan Carr and I live here in Midlothian with my husband and two children. I taught first grade for 13 years , and made the decision to stay home as our family grew with the addition of our second child. There are many things I miss about teaching, but when I think about my next steps, I find myself dreaming of work that allows me the flexibility to be the kind of mom I want to be for my kids while also pursuing the joy and fulfillment I get from sharing delicious food with people. I absolutely love finding ways to bring beauty to our table and home, and want to share that joy with others.
My sourdough journey began just over a year ago, with starter gifted from my buy nothing group. I was quickly enamored with how I could use only flour, water, salt, and time, to create bread the way it was meant to be made – slowly, naturally, and with respect for the process that transforms simple ingredients into something that is both beautiful and nourishing. I quickly got to a point where I wanted to bake more than we can eat and started gifting loaves to friends and family just to be able to bake more. Now, I could not be more thrilled to offer fresh baked bread and treats to our community!

Can I place an order outside of the pre-order schedule?
Yes! I am trying to streamline my baking as much as possible and know that most people would like to have their orders going into the weekend. However, if you have a special occasion or need to place an order for another day please contact me to make arrangements.
Do you take special orders for items not on the menu?
I do! If you have something special in mind, please contact me to chat and see if I can accommodate your needs.
Where and how to I pick up my order?
When you receive your order confirmation my address will be included. All orders placed during regular pre-order period will be ready to pick up on my front porch starting at 4pm on Fridays. Look for your name on the bag(s) and be sure to either drop cash in the box or scan and Venmo, please.
